Zespół Dworski Hotel Sarmata *** is a complex of restored residential and farm buildings (manorial) established in 1861 by the initiative of the married couple Matylda and Cyprian Strużyński. It is located on the northern escarpment of Sandomierz, in close proximity to the Opatowska Gate and the historic Chocimska Lantern, built around 1680. The farm complex was originally situated on nearly a 6-hectare plot. Besides the manor house and outhouse, there were farm buildings and a 1-hectare vineyard, which after the death of Cyprian and Matylda around 1920 was divided by their children into building plots. This way, a residential area of single-family houses was created on the former vineyard land (formerly Winnica Street, now Andrzej Strug Street). From the other part of the old farm territory adjacent to the eastern escarpment of the city, covering 2.6 hectares, the heirs were expropriated in favor of the State Treasury in the mid-1970s for the construction of a sledding track on this escarpment.
In 1959, the Strużyński manorial complex was entered into the register of monuments. Unfortunately, it was subject to official quartering and gradually fell into ruin. In 2001, the destroyed manor with the outhouse was purchased by Małgorzata and Mirosław Tusznio by notarial deed from Irena Strużyńska and other heirs.
Rebuilt between 2002 and 2009 by the current owners for hotel and tourism purposes, it offers a unique atmosphere of bygone times. In the interiors of the historic complex restored with great care, you will find the spirit of Sarmatism, taste regional culinary specialties, and relax away from the everyday hustle and bustle.
Zespół Dworski Hotel Sarmata*** offers guests a total of up to 133 accommodation places in 2- and 3-person rooms and suites, a hotel restaurant with traditional Polish cuisine, 2 large conference rooms, a relaxation zone (sauna and jacuzzi), a covered locked bicycle shelter, a sunny relaxation terrace above the hotel reception, and a large green area around the property.
As the only facility in the city center, it offers private and monitored parking for over 60 cars and 2 buses. Hotel Sarmata is located in the immediate vicinity of the Old Town of Sandomierz, next to the Opatowska Gate – the main entrance to the Market Square.
Hotel rooms
In the main hotel building, we offer a total of up to 99 places:
• 11 twin double rooms (2 separate single beds 90x200cm)
• 12 double rooms (1 double bed 160x200cm),
• 8 Lux twin double rooms for 3 people (2 separate single beds 90x200cm + a fold-out sofa 130x200cm),
• 6 Lux triple rooms (double bed 180x200cm + single bed 90x200cm).
• 1 two-room apartment for 3 people on the ground floor (2 separate single beds 90x200cm + 1 single bed in the second room),
• 2 two-room apartments in the attic for 4 people each (double bed 140x200cm + 2 single beds 90x200cm in the second room) In the historic manor house, we offer a total of up to 28 places:
• 4 two-room apartments on the ground floor for 4 people each (double bed 180x200cm + 2 fold-out sofas 130x200cm),
• 4 studio-type apartments in the attic for 3 people each (double bed 160x200cm + single bed 90x200cm),
In the historic outbuilding, we offer a total of up to 6 places in 2 two-room apartments for 3 people each (double bed 180x200cm + fold-out sofa 130x200cm)
All rooms and suites are equipped with:
air conditioning, refrigerators, LCD TVs with terrestrial and satellite reception of nearly 60 channels, radio, electronic safe 17” with 230V power supply, telephone, free internet access (LAN and WiFi). Bathrooms in rooms and suites are standardly equipped with shower cabins and hairdryers.
The hotel building features a central reception, a restaurant with 90 dining seats, a wine cellar in the basement under the restaurant with 54 seats, conference and banquet rooms with an area of 310 m2 for 150 seats and 220 m2 for 120 seats.
The Manor Complex grounds are fenced, monitored, and as the only hotel facility in Sandomierz, it has a guarded parking lot for 60 cars and 2 coaches. In the manor garden, there is a music stage with a dance circle and a summer grill garden with 100 dining seats. The total number of outdoor dining seats, including tables in the summer garden by the restaurant, is 140. For families with small children, we offer free additional beds such as travel cots 60x120cm and bottle warmers.
With our guests traveling on two wheels in mind, we have prepared a covered, lockable bicycle shelter with 12 spaces.
The manor complex Hotel Sarmata*** is also the owner of 3 historic tenement houses in the Old Town area, which together have 20 apartments/flats with a kitchen and bathroom:
- "Pod Zegarem" Apartments at Opatowska Street 9 (6 two- and three-room apartments) with a usable area from 45m2 to 68m2. These apartments are located 100 meters from the Opatowska Gate and 100 meters from the Old Town Market Square
- "Ucho Igielne" Apartments at Zamkowa Street 2b (7 two- and three-room apartments, including 3 apartments with balconies) with a usable area from 54m2 to 72m2. These apartments are located 100 meters from the Old Town Market Square and 150-200 meters from the Cathedral and Castle.
- "Furta Dominikańska" Apartments at Zamkowa Street 4 (7 studio-type apartments – room with kitchen and kitchenette, including 3 apartments with balconies) with a usable area from 30m2 to 35m2.
These apartments are located 100 meters from the Old Town Market Square and 150-200 meters from the Cathedral and Castle. Apartment guests are provided with free guarded parking at Hotel Sarmata***.
